Education for K-12
Teachers!
The goal is to
facilitate
and promote awareness, appreciation, knowledge, and stewardship of
water resources through the development and dissemination of
classroom-ready teaching aids and through the establishment of state
and internationally sponsored Project WET programs.
It's a Program--
designed
for
formal
and
non-formal
educators of K-12 students grounded in well-defined beliefs
that are reflected in the curriculum and training techniques
a Curriculum--
of
activities developed,
field-tested, and reviewed by over 600 educators and resource managers
working with 34,000 students nationwide and correlated to the
current Georgia
Performance Standards (printable Word docs)
And an
Instruction and Delivery Network--
offering
Educator
Workshops that include
training, the Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide, and additional
water education resources for certification to teach students
and
Facilitator
Workshops that train
interested individuals to hold Educator Workshops providing a link
from the Project WET organization to the classroom.

What is Georgia Project WET?
We provide training for formal and
non-formal educators
and facilitators in Georgia
through water education workshops, promote water education throughout
the state, and provide materials and support to all those who
participate. Workshop participants receive hands-on training and
the Project WET Curriculum and Activity Guide which features more than
90 activities developed, field-tested, and reviewed by over 600
educators nation-wide.
