Georgia River of Words

The River of Words (ROW) Project is a free program designed to help K-12 students understand their sense of place by studying a watershed in their own environment then expressing what they discover through poetry and art. The art and poetry can then be entered into a national contest.

Congratulations to the winners of the 2023 Georgia River of Words contest, and thank you to all of our participants!

Need activity ideas or art/poetry examples to inspire your students? The free ROW Teacher's Guide contains information on Georgia's watersheds and ways to incorporate science, poetry, art and service learning into the classroom.
